Offered for your restoration project is a unique lot of 25 American walnut turned spindles. This item has been in my posesion since 1982 -never used. These spindles are unique in the sense of being unfinished turned walnut; matched set of 25 and in great condition save for the 5 identified with minor, easily repairable issues. See specific pics for description. One spindle has been cut in half longitudinally for flush wall application. Age related tight checking is noted. This item has not been stripped and retains remnants of the original dark varnish finish. Each spindle is 24" in length with 4x4x4 square bases and 4x4x2 tops. All ends are squared off. Each spindle weighs approximately 2lbs 11oz. The turned style is heavily influenced by American Empire (1815-1845) period. With the appropriate stain and finished these spindles could truly be an eye popping architectural feature. Therefore, an interior application is highly recommended.
