One of the finest examples of this Motif I have seen, forged
from one continuous length of Naval Bronze
- Never worn
As the owner of a craft cooperative in the early 1970's I had the opportunity to choose this buckle from a production run done for the Christmas season. Of all the buckles presented this one spoke to me on a visceral level. Out of the brute force forging process comes 2 delicate petals on a hanging vine. Only Displayed - never worn.
Large size for up to 1 3/4 inch belt.
4"x 2.5"x 1.25" Original Patina.
Since the death of Eugene Anthony Chase in Feb. of 2020 more attention is being paid to this fine
sculptor and deservedly so. See the documentary on uTube of his sculpture "Collateral Damage" installed next to the Clock Tower in Santa Cruz California.
