TLC Vintage Malibu PJ Doll Made in Korea Mattel Barbie Friend Steffie Face P.J.

In this listing we have a cute, but somewhat TLC Malibu PJ doll head. This Barbie friend was released in the 1970’s by Mattel as part of the Iconic Malibu line. She uses the incredibly popular Steffie face. This doll has a dark tan skin tone, bright yellow-blonde hair, large violet colored eyes, and peach colored lips. This doll head was made in Korea. She uses the vintage style neck knob and will need a body with a similar type of neck joint. My pictures came out a little light, the colors are a few shades darker in person.
This doll is in TLC shape, but still has lots of life left in her. I did wash the doll, but she could use a more in-depth cleaning. The doll’s hair is a bit of a mess. She has a lot, and I mean a lot, of broken strands of hair. Malibu hair can be very brittle and easily break. It’s also a bit fry feeling. It’s not as bad as some of them I’ve seen, but it’s not very smooth feeling.  The doll’s face paint looks good. If you look at her closely, she does have some small chips and bits of wear to her eyebrows. The doll’s eyes look good. One eye looks to be bigger than the other and her right pupil is bigger than the left. The white paint for the whites of their eyes look a bit thin in places. There’s also some small paint errors here and there to the face. The doll’s lips look good, but she does have a few small paint rubs and there’s a few small bumps to the lip paint. There are two small darker dots on the right side of the doll’s face next and below her lips. More of those spots could develop over time. There is a small scuff to the doll’s left side along her jaw line, but it’s very minor. There are some small molding flaws here and there on her face, but they are pretty minor. You can see them when looking close at them. I think the end of her nose has gone slightly pale. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll head and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared to pictures.
