The Pond Guy Muck Defense tablets contain beneficial bacteria that digest organic debris, also known as pond scum, that resides at the bottom of outdoor backyard water gardens or koi and goldfish ponds. Muck Defense works with nature to remove excess nutrients. It reduces smelly odors, leaving you with crystal clear, clean water free of any brown muddy gunk and pond sludge. Made of a naturally occurring blend of bacteria and enzymes. When used as directed, treatment will not cause harm to any animal, frog, dog, chicken, duck, trapdoor snail, turtle, pet, or other wildlife. Safe for horses, ducks, birds, tadpoles, fish, and other aquatic life. Will also not harm any plant leaf, lily pads, or live aquatic vegetation. Okay for use with pond equipment and accessories including biological filters, aerators, fountains, and skimmer systems. Will not harm your pond pump, spitter, water feature, filter pad, clarifier, purifier, fountain, or other equipment. Apply tablet (also called pellets) once a month when water temperature is above 50°F. For light muck buildup, use 1 tablet for up to a 1,000 gallon pond. For thick muck or for a more rapid fix, apply 2 tablets once a month. Muck Defense works best at removing sludge and scum from small rocks and gravel on the pond floor.
