Hasami-cho, Nagasaki Prefecture, is the home of ceramics since the Azuchi-Momoyama period. This series of ceramic items was born as a result of the encounter between Kalita and Hasami, a local brand formed by the town as a whole.
The ribs engraved on the inside of the dripper are designed at a sharp angle to let air in between the dripper and filter and prevent them from sticking together.
The body, which is so thin that it shines through in the light, is the result of the skill of a full-time engraver. It is lightweight yet durable.
The bottom ring, which determines the performance of the dripper, is level and precise, so it won't clench on servers or mugs. The homogeneous arrangement of the three extraction openings ensures an ideal filtration rate. The clearly engraved "MADE IN JAPAN" stamp is proof of quality.
